Cooking at an early age is a great way to develop vital skills for the future. But you already know that. The bigger question is: which kinds of food can your child whip up easily?

Well, here are a few recipes you and your child can follow to make a delicious and palatable meal for any event, from birthdays to graduations. Read up and your child might become a gourmet chef in the future!

  1. Homemade pizza

Pizza is really easy to make! All you have to do is prepare the crust, add in some tomato sauce and let your child go crazy with the toppings! Make sure you put the pizza in the oven yourself for safety and see to it that there’s enough for the whole family!

  1. Zucchini boats

Zucchini boats are what your child can learn to make. Just slice a zucchini lengthwise and have your young one stuff it with things such as butter, onions, mozzarella cheese, and bread crumbs. As always, place the boats inside the oven yourself. Make several ones for everyone to munch on.

  1. Chicken nuggets

If you want your child to be engaged in the actual cooking process, chicken nuggets are great at teaching them how to use the fryer. Make sure you supervise as they cook since it is dangerous and the risk of burns and scalds will always be there.

  1. Macaroni and cheese

Making macaroni and cheese is also great at teaching your child to actually cook. And it’s easy to make! Just guide your child as he or she boils the macaroni. After a few minutes of doing so, let your kid sprinkle cheese while it’s still hot. It’s really that easy!

Are you and your child ready to engage in some cooking? Try the recipes above! And take note: be sure that you observe safety when doing so.

Have fun!
